Thank you! One of the reasons I have been hesitant is that the lighting in my kitchen is very bad. I’m hoping some different light bulbs may help. You are right. I need to just start doing it and worry about making it better later. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

You’ve got this, Katelyn! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself when shooting Reels — you can start out simple and go from there. For my Reels, I shoot using my iPhone, and I oftentimes just hold my phone to shoot clips, or I even balance my phone in my kitchen cabinet for overhead shots!

If you haven’t checked it out yet, we chat a bit about tripods in this lesson: https://www.foodbloggerpro.com/courses/food-video/equipment-settings/tripods-for-video/

I hope that helps! 😊

I’ve been wanting to make a reel for a while, but it still feels pretty intimidating. Is there somewhere I can go to watch someone in the process of making an overhead video? It seems like I am always fighting with my tripod, and I just don’t understand how to position the setup so that the tripod is not in my way. Thanks!
