In reply to Lorena Grater. It is certainly a distinct taste. If you don't like the powdered version, perhaps try fresh. It tastes completely different to me and it's delicious. You don't even have to peel it. Just give it a little scrub with some water and mince it like you would garlic. Prepare to have colored fingers and a yellow spot on your cutting board but it's totally worth it!

This explains all the Smores and pies with grahm cracker crusts I've been seeing! HA!HA! I had an idea for a smores recipe so maybe I should move forward with it after all. Thank you for sharing Foodimentary. I wondered how people knew about all those offbeat "holidays."

Hey, Ivo! Definitely not random :) I really like Google Trends for figuring out trends in the food space. If you search for "cocktails" (https://trends.google.com/t…, you can scroll down a bit to find "Related topics" and "Related queries," and you can filter those by Top or Rising topics. I really like checking out the Rising "Related topics" because that shows me how I can niche down the topic I'm looking at.

On the cocktails page, I'm seeing that Mezcal and Moscow Mules are popular rising topics right now! So instead on just focusing on summer cocktails, I might want to try posting something like, "10 Summer Cocktails using Mezcal." Food for thought (pun intended ;) ).
