Hi, I’m Jessica! I’m an educator by day and a meal maker by night! I am working on creating a blog to share my most beloved family recipes that have brought love, laughter, and unforgettable moments to my life. Cooking is more than just a passion for me, it’s how I’ve connected with loved ones and built lasing relationships in all parts of my life. Blogging is a new journey for me but its a journey I’m excited to start and one I want to share with others, so if you have any advice please send it my way!! My big blog related goal this year is to launch my blog Love, Laugh, & Ladle. Its a dream I’ve had for several years and after the recent passing of my grandmother who inspired and taught me the joys of cooking and how it can positively impact others, I’ve decided this is the year to make that dream a reality. I’m Shell, and I’m really excited to be here! After an initial career as an automotive engineer, and then raising my 5 kids, it’s always been my dream to have my own vegan gardening and cooking blog. When my kids were little, I became an advanced master gardener and started an elementary school garden. I love growing and cooking food from all over the world, and always learning about heirloom crops and global cuisines. I love to explore international grocery stores, scour used book sales for cookbooks and gardening books, and study permaculture and regenerative agriculture. And I adore world traveling and living overseas (I’ve lived in Austria, Germany, and China so far), and I hope to be able to explore new country sometime soon. My husband and my earliest food studies are from France, so a lot of my recipes will feature cuisine from there. Along with as many other foods as I can discover, grow, and eat! I’m really happy to be here with all of you, and I look forward to meeting you!
